Film Oxford is a regional Hub for Film and Digital Media, supporting a community of filmmakers and digital creators through our programme of TRAIN, NETWORK, CREATE, EXHIBIT. Our adult short film courses, are run by award winning filmmakers at subsidised prices. They teach you the technical side of Film and Digital Media, as well as the creative tools you need to go on to write, make and distribute your own films. We have more than 40 years experience in delivering training to complete beginners, emerging talent, artists, and Film & TV professionals, as well as the education, corporate and charity sectors. These Taster courses courses are suitable for complete beginners in digital video, and animation. They are run at an easy pace and require no prior skills, other than basic computer skills.
(All Level 2 courses are also suitable for beginners but often have additional entry requirements – see course details).

A women only version of our 3 Day Video Production Course beginners course (part of the International Women’s Festival).
Suitable as follow on courses from Level 1 tasters or can be taken as first courses. They tend to be longer and are aimed at those with no previous experience of filmmaking. Basic computer skills are required. The pace is more demanding than the Level 1 courses, and students may be required to do preparation work outside of classes. The tutor will be very supportive throughout.

The pace on these courses is generally more intense and demanding. Depending on the course, students may have to do more preparation and development work outside of class.
