Delivered by Film Oxford, the BFI Film Academy South East provides young people aged 16–25 across the South East with access to hands-on filmmaking opportunities, industry connections and career development throughout the year. Find out more about the BFI Film Academy here.

The BFI Film Academy South East Introductory Course in Oxford will run during half- term February 2027
We will deliver an introductory course for 16 creative young people aged 16-19. Meet industry professionals, make a short film, and receive advice and guidance on your next career steps.

If you have already completed a BFI Film Academy course or you are studying at University, unfortunately, you are not able to apply. Students on Further Education courses or Sixth Form are eligible.
This is a free course and travel bursaries are available if required.
Course will be held at: Film Oxford, East Oxford Community Centre, Oxford OX4 1DD
