Summerscreen Hit Finale

Best of the Fest – Summerscreen finale
OFVMs Summerscreen 2007 film festival  reached its spectacular finale at a packed Phoenix Picture Palace on Sunday evening. An excited audience were there to see the films made by more than 250 people across Oxfordshire created over the last 10 days. Awards went to Animation Station, The Matrix youth project and Modern Art Oxford with top prize going to Barton Breakdancers for ‘Pimp my Film’ – an amazing breakdance film inspired by 25 dancers from top Oxford crews, Messy Jam and Flaw R*rtists.

Summerscreen Film Festival for young people across Oxfordshire ran from 28th July – 5th August and involved over 1000 people on workshops, tours and screenings. OFVM ran the festival with the support of more than 25 national and local partner organisations and received core funding from  Screen South, UK Film Council, Media Box, Oxford City Council, Oxfordshire County Council,  Oxfordshire District Councils, Oxfordshire Community Foundation and The Local Network fund.
