Reel Women – Screening & Event Friday 11th March @ 7pm

Dated: March 1, 2011

Friday 11th March
Reel Women
Venue: OFVM, Film Oxford, 54 Catherine Street, Oxford OX4 3 AH
7 pm – 9 pm
Entrance: Free. All Welcome.
Wheelchair access: Yes.

For many years OFVM Film Oxford has run Reel Women screening night as part of Oxford’s International Women’s Festival
We are hosting an evening of screenings and talks from women in the industry
We will be screening films by local film-makers including the film made on the Reel Women course at OFVM during International Women’s Week, called Broken Home, which is a fun look at an installation created in Templars Square by two women artists.
This will be a good chance to meet and network with women in the industry.

Films being screened by local filmmakers:

Zuleika Kingdon – Eginja Eriyimba – The Singing Rock, beautiful documentary about ancient rock formations  in Uganda.
Zoe Broughton – Activist videos – will be showing an extract from her film about peace movement
Sharon Woodward – How to market and sell your film and get into film festivals by using social networking.
Suzy Prior – Steampunk, documentary on Steampunk (for those of you who don’t know Steampunk is a subgenre of speculative fiction, usually set in an anachronistic Victorian or quasi-Victorian alternate history setting.)
