Film ONE Event Christopher Sheppard (Producer / Director) Malmaison 16/11/2010

Dated: November 12, 2010

Malmaison Oxford, 3 Oxford Castle, New Road, Oxford, OX1 1AY
Tuesday 16th November, 7.15pm

Come and join us for an evening with Christopher Sheppard where we will be screening his recent film RAGE followed by a Q&A chaired by Nik Powell, Director, NFTS.
Christopher Sheppard founded Adventure Pictures when he joined forces with director Sally Potter. The Oscar-nominated ORLANDO (1992), starring Tilda Swinton, marked his debut as a feature film producer. This was followed by the BAFTA-nominated THE TANGO LESSON (1996), THE MAN WHO CRIED (2000) and YES (2004).
His work as a producer has been characterised by the creative management of extremely low budget films which nevertheless have impressively high production values.
Christopher has also directed many documentary films, including two nominated for Royal Television Society awards, and produced a number of groundbreaking internet projects, including www.SP-ARK.org, the interactive online Sally Potter archive.
RAGE is a unique experimental film where the story unfolds in the form of a video diary, using only a collage of monologues. Featuring Jude Law, Judi Dench and Steve Buscemi, RAGE (2009) was the first feature film to premiere exclusively on mobile phones and was nominated for a Webby Award for best drama.
