‘ILLUSTRATE TO ANIMATE’ is this term’s Digital Youth training programme, offering young people (12 – 16 years) the opportunity to explore their creativity using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Character Animator. Over 10 weeks the group will become familiar with and confident using these two popular creative software packages. They will design characters and backgrounds that will be transferred onto a digital canvas (Illustrator) and then learn all the skills necessary to create their own unique animation (Adobe Character Animator). Film Oxford has teamed up with Oxford Christmas Lights festival to offer ‘drop-in’ animation workshops during the festival where young people will create their own personalised e-Christmas cards. Members of Digital Youth will be encouraged to support these workshops and share their skills in these ‘live events’ in the Weston Building of the Bodleian Library on Broad Street on Friday 25th (evening) and Saturday 26th November (daytime).
Cost: £90.00 for ten weeks. (Don’t be put off applying, as course fees can be waived for those who may struggle to cover the cost. Phone Geron on 01865 244274 to discuss this)
