10×10:
The Oxford Filmmakers’ Network
Film Oxford, 54 Catherine Street, Oxford, OX4 3AH
Thursday 6th December – From 7pm.
10×10 is a friendly networking group that meets on the first Thursday of the month.
It’s the perfect opportunity for filmmakers in Oxford to get together to view and review new work made by local filmmakers. We’ll also be having presentations and demonstrations.
If you have taken a Film Oxford course or working independently, it’s a great way to maintain contact and to meet other people who also want to make films.
What’s happening this month…
Hands on with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera
A fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with the hottest new camera. Blackmagic Design’s Cinema Camera. Courtesy of CVP Video.
As some of you may have seen or heard this features an amazing 2.5K image sensor with a wide 13 stops of dynamic range for a true feature film look and is a real challenger to the DSLR cameras, both in terms of result and affordability.
Dreamscape
Richard Wakefield will show his film Dreamscape, a stunningly visual sci-fi short and talk about how he filmed it and the extensive use of special effects in post production.
10×10 is open to all working with moving image – novice or professional, drama or documentary, campaigning or digital artists.
There will be drinks and nibbles! So come along, doors open at 7pm.
This event is free but places are limited. To reserve a place go to: http://filmoxford10x10.eventbrite.co.uk to register your interest.
If you’d like to give a talk or show something just let us know at 10×10@filmoxford.org
