Wil Harris is the Director of ChannelFlip Media, an internet video company using short TV productions to bring magazine-style content to viewers on the web. As a company at the cutting edge of new media, Wil is involved in filming content suitable for use on HD TV all the way down to YouTube and iPod. ChannelFlip, which produces ground-breaking online video blogs, combines traditional journalism – about video games, gadgets and films – with low-overhead straight-to-digital video production, innovative distribution mechanisms and lucrative advertising sales. Wil will be discussing his experience creating content for internet consumption, the benefits and problems of a prosumer-grade digital workflow, monetising video content on the internet and the perils of starting a video company whilst knowing virtually nothing about video production.
