Oxdox 2010 International Film Festival

OXDOX  – the biggest independent documentary film festival in the UK will return to the Ultimate Picture Palace from 21st to 26th April with over 50 UK premieres of the best documentaries in the world – featuring the winning films, with their directors, from Cannes, Venice, Sundance, Berlin, New York, London and Toronto.  Opening in Gallery 60 in the newly refurbished Ashmolean Museum with the premiere of ‘Views on Vermeer’ on Wednesday 21st April, the festival programme will include:
Rob Lemkin’s internationally acclaimed film ‘Enemies Of The People’ described by Andrew Marr on Radio 4’s Start The Week as ‘The most moving and gripping film I have ever seen’.
Frederick Wiseman’s film ‘La Danse – The Paris Opera Ballet’ screening two days after its UK Release – this stunning film offers us an insider’s view of the one of the world’s greatest ballet companies ‘
‘Yes, this is one of the finest dance films ever made, but there is more to it than that’.
