Modern Art Oxford – Film Studio
Film Studio is a programme for telling stories of Oxford through creative film making. This collaborative project brings together community groups, schools, artists and film makers in exhibitions, workshops, events and screenings.
This project offers people a chance to find out more about the components of film making, from directing to set building. It is also a platform to share stories, knowledge and ideas.
Local groups and organisations have been invited to use the Project Space at Modern Art Oxford to present their work and offer visitors hands on, practical experiences. There will be screenings of films from the British Free Cinema archive, workshops on soundtracks and set building, as well as talks and screenings by film makers.
From ground breaking documentary film making in the 1950s to today’s creative young musicians and film makers. Film Studio continues Modern Art Oxford’s long history of experimental and collaborative projects with local people.
