FILM OXFORD PRODUCTION GROUP
Film Oxford Production Group is for anyone who wants to be part of actually making a film. You can come in at any point in the process from the idea through to the final editing. Whilst thegroup offers the opportunity to get involved in hands-on production, you will still need some filmmaking skills to take part. See Film Oxford programme of training courses here.
We meet bi-monthly, alternating with Digital Creatives, on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
Next Meeting: Thursday 22nd September at Film Oxford, 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
The next meeting of the Film Oxford Production Group will be on Thursday 22nd September.
Polly Biswas Gladwin will be facilitating discussion on developing film ideas. Please come along and pitch in … especially any women – Susie was the only woman last time!
Polly runs the Oxford Screenwriters’ group, and courses on screenwriting at Film Oxford. Her background is in TV and documentary editing. Polly worked in editing for over 10 years, progressing from assistant to documentary editor. Her credits include several well-regarded TV strands: 40 Minutes, Timewatch, Horizon and Arena. In Oxford, Polly helped set up the Oxford Channel where she was a producer and trainer. She has also run arts projects and courses in media and film. In 2013, Polly’s screenplay ‘Love & Shame’ was workshopped by film producer and theatre director Victor Glynn. Polly is currently developing a new screenplay, ‘The Art Thief’, based on a true story.
