Richard Bradley is a founder of Lion Television, one of the most successful TV production companies in the industry. With offices in London, Glasgow, and New York.
Under his creative leadership Lion has assembled one of the most widely respected historical and specialist factual programme producing units in the industry.
His company has a reputation in the UK, US and Asia for innovative and accessible television, and has won many awards include four Emmys, Bafta’s and the Prix Jeunesse 2010.
Richard’s credits include Bafta-award winning Horrible Histories, the hit comedy history series for children,The Hottest Place on Earth, Cleopatra, Portrait of a Killer, The First Emperor, Crusades, the multi-award-winning series African School, Guns Germs and Steel, the Emmy-Award winning Days That Shook the World, Medici: Godfathers of the Renaissance, Emmy-nominated Egypt Golden Empire, The Spartans / The Minoans / Helen of Troy.
Whilst at the BBC, he devised and produced the original series of Children’s Hospital.
Richard’s team at Lion have been pioneers in cost effective and high-end drama recreation, have originated many innovative uses of CGI and work extensively in high definition. They have successfully developed a growing group of specialist on-screen talent, and have been constantly at the cutting edge of trends in factual TV.
His aim is to ‘use his position to make programmes that broaden people’s minds about important issues, change stereo typical perceptions about others and inspire people.’
