9th June 2020
We are delighted to announce that we were successful in our grant application to the Arts Council’s Emergency Fund, which has enabled us to bring most of our staff out of furlough to continue work on our development plan.
We are busy putting in place new policies and procedures based on the government’s social distancing guidelines so that we can start production work ASAP. If you would like a quotation for production, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Adults’ Training Courses
We are working to adapt our creative filmmaking, screenwriting and software-based courses in order to deliver online provision and on-site training (with social distancing in place). We will advertise new course dates as soon as possible; please email email@example.com to express your interest in any of our courses.
The Shadowlight Artists
We have adapted our current project, Luminous, so that work can continue remotely during lockdown. The Artists are creating new films, installations, paintings and photographs for exhibition at Modern Art Oxford and Arts at the Old Fire Station, as well as in a new virtual online gallery. The exhibition is due to open on 20th November 2020.
FLUX: Online Moving Image Festival
Our artists’ residency project will be going online this year in the form of a festival of creative work … more info coming soon!
Our mentoring scheme has continued online, and we are exploring new ways of working with young creative talent. News of future opportunities coming shortly. Subscribe to the Youth Activities mailing list here.
BFI Film Academy 2020
We intend to run the Academy in October & November, and are in the process of planning course delivery (with social distancing in place if necessary). Applications due to open in August.
We are still working remotely, so please email us to get in touch – or phone 01865 792731 to leave a voicemail message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
