Poppadom Pictures started as a local monthly ‘cinema and curry’ at Film Oxford for residents around Howard Street, offering a children’s film followed by curry (supplied by our local Nepalese restaurant – The Everest) and then a later adult film. From these beginnings the group has gone onto fundraise for filmmaking workshops, organise Q+As with new directors and this summer run outdoor screenings in local parks. The group continues to meet on the first Friday of each month at Film Oxford.
