Our Jericho is a slice of life in Jericho, Oxford, in 2019. It was inspired by Open Door Jericho, a programme made in 1974 for the BBC community access programme Open Door.
Commissioned by Jericho Community Association, produced by one of the original makers, Maggie Black, and directed and Edited by Film Oxford’s in-house filmmaker Nicola Josse.
Made forty-five years after the original, ‘Our Jericho’ stars many current local residents and canal boat dwellers, along with its magnificent church, its school, community activities, businesses, pubs, artists and singers.
