Easter Story Lab – join our team of young digital creatives!

Dated: March 8, 2018

Film Oxford and the Story Museum are looking for young people (14+) with loads of ideas wanting to work alongside groundbreaking digital artists over Easter. We want you to come up with the ideas for the museum’s new interactive space. Explore projection, mobile platforms, animation, comic strip, sound, film, special effects – or whatever grabs you!.

Story Lab is an Arts Council funded project taking place mainly over Easter in Oxford and is free for those selected to participate. See below for further details.

Overview
Story Lab is a digital exploration project where professional digital artists and young creatives explore how new exhibitions and installations can use digital form to create unique experiences at the Museum and online. This project is focused around the storytellers of Oxford ancient and modern – from medieval myths of dragons fighting over the city, to Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, to modern day games making.
The Story Museum will select 3 short stories to act as inspiration to the group.

Workshop and Presentation Dates (participants must be able to commit to all the following)
Saturday March 17th – Introductory day with artists and young people
Monday April 9th to Thursday April 12th – Workshop days at the Museum
Between workshop days and presentation – free work to finalise presentations back to the Story Museum
Mid-afternoon Sunday 22nd April – Presentation of work to Museum
